Browser-Side Résumé Processing

Privacy Policy

Your résumé text is analyzed in your browser and is not sent to ToolForge servers. Theme preference is stored locally, and fonts load from Google Fonts.

Last updated: October 2026 · Effective immediately

Résumé text stays in your browser

Your browser parses résumé text locally in memory. The text is not sent to ToolForge servers; the site may request external fonts.

No app database or account

The inspected application has no résumé database or user account system. Hosting providers may create service logs under their own policies.

Never used to train AI

Résumé suggestions are produced by client-side JavaScript. Résumé text is not sent to an AI service or used to train a model.

No sign-up or registration

No email required, no password, no credit card, no tracking walls. Open the tool and start working immediately.

1. What Information Do We Process?

When you upload or paste a resume, ToolForge processes your text strictly in temporary browser RAM (client-side memory). We do not record your name, contact information, phone numbers, email addresses, employment history, or educational credentials on any server.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

ToolForge uses one localStorage item, 'toolforge_theme', to store the light or dark mode preference. We do not set tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or behavioral trackers. Google Fonts receives standard connection metadata when fonts load. If you open the optional UPI support dialog, the QR image is requested from qrserver.com and contains the displayed payment intent; résumé content is not included.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

Résumé text is not sent to ToolForge servers or third parties. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. If you choose to open the optional UPI support dialog, qrserver.com receives a request to render the payment QR code; this request does not contain résumé text.

4. AI Architecture and Processing

All resume formatting checks, keyword density matching against job descriptions, and Google X-Y-Z formula rewriting logic execute via deterministic client-side JavaScript in your browser tab. Your document is never transmitted to OpenAI, Anthropic, or external cloud LLM APIs.

5. File Upload Handling (PDF & DOCX)

When you drag and drop or select a file, PDF.js extracts readable text in your browser. If a PDF has no text layer, a locally hosted English OCR engine reads its rendered pages in your browser. The original binary file and its text are not uploaded.

6. Contact & Data Controller

ToolForge is built with a privacy-by-design architecture. If you have questions regarding this policy or our technical implementation, contact us at hello@toolforge.app.
